Each thimble is carved out of solid piece of wood and hand-painted with Russian miniature painting techniques, as it is done on Russian lacquer boxes. Every brush stroke is very detailed. On the rim of the thimble there is a name of the tale "Снегурочка" written in Russian, which in English is "Snow Maiden". Snow Maiden is Russian Santa (Ded Moroz, Father Frost) granddaughter and helper. Very collectible thimble.
