Tsar Saltan Souvenir Plate

This souvenir plate from Russia is an art piece that illustrates the fairy-tale "Story of Tsar Saltan" by A.S. Pushkin. The plate was made on basis of lacquering original, specially have been created for this collection by Palekhsky painter Hodov V. (Ходов В.). The artist used vibrant reds and oranges against a blue back drop, with a black background adorned with a golden filigree border.
