Its detail extratends to even the ripples of the water. Hand painted on mother of pearl and set in German silver, this brooch is a lovely gift at any occasion. Russian brooches are hand painted on mother of pearl bases that are nested into metal frames with a pin on the back. They are painted in Fedoskino style. Fedoskino is the famous Russian school of miniature painting.
