This exquisite antique Russian plate is a beautiful example of word art. It is made of fine porcelain and features a beautifully detailed hand painted production of the Russian crest, the two headed eagle. It is stamped with the year 1766 and the insignia of a famous Russian manufacturer of such plates. However, it is not known weather or not this particular plate is a reproduction. If not, then it was hand crafted in Russia sometime in the mid 19th century. Estimated to be valued at nearly $1,000 if authentic, this plate is sure to make a perfect gift for that avid collector, or simply for make a great decorative piece.
